FAQs

Yes. Utility-scale solar projects typically create hundreds of jobs over several months or even years. Often some of those jobs are with local service providers, and some local hiring is possible. Not all jobs are local, or permanent, but much of the economic impact of a new solar project reverberates through out a community for years.
Yes. The construction phase involves purchasing materials and equipment, contributing to increased sales tax revenue. It also generates more local income tax from the jobs created.
No. Studies show local property values typically remain the same, and in some cases, even increase.
Decommissioning involves systematically dismantling the facility, recycling materials where feasible, and restoring the land to its agreed-upon state. The decommissioning standards may vary across jurisdictions, and we are committed to following decommissioning laws in the communities where projects are built.
Before starting any project, we do environmental assessments to ensure that we understand impact to the local environment and wildlife.
Local businesses often benefit from increased foot traffic and contracts for goods and services during construction and maintenance.
We provide reports consistent with local law and updates on project progress, which are often made available at related public hearings or at public records. Communities often require environmental impact, archeological surveys and other impact reports or analysis of community benefits. These reports may be accessible through public filings or by attending our community forums.
